Okanagan Falls boasts one of the most desirable climates in Canada.
Summers are generally very hot. It is not unusual for temperatures to reach 40°C, and they are often above 30°C for several days in a row. The northerly altitude contributes to long daylight hours. Daybreak can start as early as 5 am and stretch to 10:30 pm.
Winters are milder than the majority of regions in Canada and can drop below zero for long periods. The average annual snowfall for the area is 73 cm. The cool temperatures are necessary to make ice wine, another delicacy produced by the region.
The region experiences a very low annual rainfall of about 250 mm spread evenly through the year.
