Dear Friends,

I am pleased to welcome you to Okanagan Falls, Kaleden and Apex, all located right here in Area D of our regional district. It has been my pleasure to represent this warm and vibrant area for the past eight years. Whether you're skiing down the slopes of Apex Mountain -awarded as the best small destination resort in all Canada-, boating on sunny Skaha Lake, or hitting the links at our fine Twin Lakes and St. Andrews golf courses; you might find yourself pressed for time to visit our many award winning wineries. But stay a little longer and enjoy all we have to offer, including our Wild West Fest!

Okanagan Falls, like the rest of Area D, is more than just a place for tourism. I am proud to offer to investors one of the largest commercial and industrial zoned development lands in rural B.C., located just ten minutes from Penticton. A number of major value-added companies have already located in our community and I invite you to explore the opportunities.

We are proud of the great infrastructure for recreation we have in place - a sports park boasting one of the best cricket pitches in B.C., first class ball fields, world-famous rock climbing at Skaha Bluffs, and renowned hiking and biking trails. The Kettle Valley Trail line connects Okanagan Falls, Kaleden, and Penticton. It provides world class recreational opportunities and serves as a portion of the Trans Canada Trail system.

Thank you for your visit. Our staff at the Economic Development Office and Visitor Information Centre, along with myself, are looking forward to serving you!

Sincerely,
Bill Schwarz
