OK Falls Brochure
Welcome Hello BC

You will get a warm welcome from our trained staff when you visit Okanagan Falls Visitor Information Centre, situated in OK Corral Mall on highway 97. Here you can get information and guides on almost everything in the area so that you will not miss getting the most out of our part of paradise.

One of the most asked questions is "where are the falls?". Okanagan Falls was blessed with pretty twin falls, that fell from where Skaha Lake empties into the river, however, in the 1950's a series of dams to control flooding were built, reducing the falls into a series of rapids.

A large selection of wildlife lives in the area, with many unique desert flora and fauna for naturalists to explore, since the community lies on the northern tip of the Sonorian Desert. A bird sanctuary is situated at Vaseux Lake just south of the town, complete with an interpretive centre. Despite being a desert area, thanks to plentiful irrigation, there are beautiful wooded areas, vineyards and orchards supplying apples, plums, peaches, cots and cherries. Be sure to take back some fruit when you return home, and you can also buy gifts to remind you of your time here from the Information Centre that cannot be found anywhere else.
