A place to relax

Our corner of the Okanagan is a destination you can visit year round. With some of the hottest temperatures and most sunny days in Canada, we enjoy longer seasons for lounging on the beach, golfing and boating, and hiking and biking. Highlights include spring and fall wine festivals, seasonal fruits, local community celebrations such as the Salmon Feast and sporting events like the Penticton Ironman. Don't forget about the Okanagan in the winter either - neighboring Apex is home to a world-class ski facility.

A short drive from Okanagan Falls will take you to one of the hidden gems of Canadian Skiing. Apex Mountain Resort and Village offers quality snow, great weather, and incredible terrain. The resort operates four lifts to take skiers of all skill levels to 67 trails including a World Cup aerial site and mogul course. The average temperature on the hill is a mild -4 degrees Celsius and about 600 cm of dry Okanagan powder falls each season. Apex offers fun for the entire family with additional amenities like the tube park, ice climbing, a 1 km skating loop and a quaint village centre. Make your base Okanagan Falls in the winter and travel to Apex or another of the four ski resorts in the region.

Facilities at Apex include an aerial and mogul site of such high caliber that the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association has named it - the national training centre for aerial competitors. Apex has hosted FIS Freestyle World Cup Competitions, NORAM Super G and Mars Cup Downhill and Super G races.
