A place to relax

Our corner of the Okanagan is a destination you can visit year round. With some of the hottest temperatures and most sunny days in Canada, we enjoy longer seasons for lounging on the beach, golfing and boating, and hiking and biking. Highlights include spring and fall wine festivals, seasonal fruits, local community celebrations such as the Salmon Feast and sporting events like the Penticton Ironman. Don't forget about the Okanagan in the winter either - neighboring Apex is home to a world-class ski facility.

Wineries

The Okanagan Falls wine region is home to some of the premiere, award-winning wineries in Canada. Thirteen wineries make up the Corkscrew Drive wine region which begins near Skaha Estates and snakes through Okanagan Falls ending at Hawthorne Mountain. Over 600 acres are under vines in the region which features Gewurtztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris as well as other popular varietals.

The newly formed Okanagan Falls Winery Association (OFWA) brings together the Okanagan valley’s premiere wineries to offer you an exceptional tour and tasting of award winning wines. From both east and west shores of Skaha Lake to the tip of Vaseux Lake, you’ll find a string of small wineries with big hearts crafting big wines.
